God save the King! We head into the long weekend and BYE round this week. I hope you all have a great break from footy and come back refreshed and recharged next week as we look forward to a MASSIVE second half of the season.

AMELIE BUSH PLAYS 50th GAME FOR GIRLS U10s
Last week Amélie Bush (aka Ammers) became the youngest female player to play 50 games for Moonee Valley. This is an outstanding achievement, especially for someone so young, and signifies a shift in our game for our junior female players. Ammers surpassed another club legend, Grace Collins, who previously took the mantle from older sister, Charlotte, in holding this milestone record. I am also told that Girls U10s players, Mia Roberts and Ruby Vincent, are not away and will soon play their 50th games. Go girls!

CHANGING THE GAME PROGRAM
This week we had the privilege of working alongside the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and GenWest (Domestic Violence Services) as part of our Gender Equity audit and training initiative.

These sessions were delivered to our U14, U16, and U18 Boys and Girls teams, equipping our young players with the knowledge and values to help us shape a more respectful and inclusive club.

At Moonee Valley, we’re deeply committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all players, families, and supporters. We believe gender equality and respect must be embedded across all levels at our club – on and off the field. We also proudly stand against domestic violence and are dedicated to promoting a culture where everyone, regardless of gender or role, feels safe, is valued, and empowered.

Extending a HUGE thanks to Mark Megalla for his leadership and support in this important work, and for working with the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and GenWest team to deliver the program.
