Hi everyone,

Welcome back after the final bye round for the season. It couldn’t have come at a better time, giving many of our teams a chance to regroup while players recovered from those persistent niggles that tend to build up over the season.

Unfortunately there was no rest and recovery for our Girls U14s and Boys U16s teams who took part in another great installment of the annual Joondalup exhibition match on Friday night. We had two brilliant matches played under lights, kicked off by our Girls U14s who managed a hard fought win over Doutta Stars. The Boys U16s match was another high quality affair with Moonee Valley managing to win the Cup for the first time post-COVID. It really was great club night all round and fantastic to have two of our former Moonee Valley players and current AFL stars Peter Wright and Reilly O’Brien in attendance, having a chat in the rooms with our very own famed AFL journo and commentator, Jay Clark.

FRIDAY NIGHT BITES
On the FNB menu this week is Steak Sandwiches, which is an absolute bargain for just $10 a meal. They will be served up by our Boys U12-1 team and families. As always, the bar and canteen will be open for business. Our raffle is also back this week – don’t miss your chance to win a Porterhaus meat tray or fresh fruit & vege basket.
