Welcome to another edition of the Moonee Valley Express.

This week you’ll find the fixtures for Round 4, Auskick commencement info, player milestones, our Royal Stacks MVP of the week, the who and what for our Friday Night Bites menu, events updates and opportunities to get involved with the club to help it continue to grow and support our community at the Valley.

AUSKICK STARTS THIS FRIDAY 1 MAY
It’s that time of the year again when over 100 kids flood Ormond Park for the start of Auskick this Friday. We have had to stop taking registrations for our program as we slightly exceeded 150 participants with AFL Vic informing us that we have the biggest Auskick program in the EDFL. I’m super proud of the work Michelle and Rebecca Flanagan have done behind the scenes to create such a great program. In a more visible role, Sarah Maxwell led the on field organisation last year and clearly contributed to so many children returning in 2026.

This year, Pat O’Meara is taking the reins and I’m sure he’ll bring his own ideas and thoughts to the sessions and continue making them engaging and fun for all.

As a community, however, please be mindful that this will add a lot more foot traffic to our Friday nights. In particular, please take care to park only in allocated car spaces. We have had instances of cars being parked over the pedestrian crossing near the back of the club rooms and in front of the emergency vehicle access gate near the cricket nets on the small oval. This raises safety risks as a club that we really need to avoid, so we’d appreciate your care and cooperation.

PLAYER MILESTONES
We’ve had a few of our players reach 50 game milestones recently - congratulations to the four players below:
Ella Collins U12-1 Girls - Round 1
Ethan Sands U16 Mixed - Round 1
Matthew Italia U14 Mixed - Round 2
Lennix Jansz U14 Mixed - Round 2

We also have another milestone coming up this week, with Rishi Vasih U12-1 Mixed celebrating 50 games - good luck Rishi, we hope you have a memorable day!

CLUB 100 AND 200 MEMBERSHIPS
Don’t forget about our Club 100 and 200 memberships available at the bar. Club 100 is especially designed for the MVFC junior community with our first Club 100 raffle being held weekly from next Friday night.

Thanks to all who supported Royal Stack Moonnee Ponds during last weekend’s FUNdraising efforts - our burgers total from last week will be confirmed soon!
